Saw these beauties on my walk today hard to decide which one I like better.

Well hello there, this was a surprise saw this one in the distance peering across the water.



Took these at the Courtenay air park and estuary.

St John's Wort another plant known for it's medicinal properties.

Wild Flowers, I find the before more interesting than the after. Gumweed is interesting for it's medicinal properties used for a number of ailments worth a Google.

C F B COMOX having lived in various army and airforce basis I feel lucky to call Comox home, for it's beauty and mild climate. For all the dad's out there Happy Fathers Day.

Visited an Eagles nest I have been keeping an eye on, there are two in the nest, the mother just flew of after I arrived it was a bit late in the day for me to wait to see her come back these youngster are hungry. I hope to see them again before they fledge. It's not easy getting a good shot with my handheld point and shoot camera.

Cumberland Museum and archives, Cumberland is an important part of the Comox Valley which is comprised out of the City of Courtenay, the Town of Comox and the Village of Cumberland as well as some smaller hamlets. Cumberland is known for its rugged out door trails and Comox lake a lovely place to spend some time with it's relaxed vibe inviting you to visit one of the many coffee shops, restaurants and artisan establishments.

Brooklyn Creek Fish Ladder hoping to see returning salmon this year.

Young American Robin still expecting to be fed, I think it's save to say he's a Canadian seeing he was born here.

A lovely place to visit the gifted Brian and Sarah McLouglin Nature park in Merville and sit a while after taking in the lovely Beach view, visiting the gardens and many forested trails. The cottage has an artist in residence program certain times in the year so please respect their privacy, a wonderful place to be inspired.

Banana Slug and Cardinal Meadow Hawk Dragon Fly I don't usually go out looking for photo ops with my head down but couldn't resist taking a photo of the Dragon Fly as I'm never fast enough to catch one in flight so this maybe the only one. Took these at Little River Nature Park.
