Seeing the many boats on the water this time of year would not be the same without the sound of the Sea Lions that can be heard miles away.

Fishing for Herring, not without controversy because the stock is way down and needs some time to replenish. Herring is a staple in the aquatic food chain and a lot of species depend on it. Seeing all the boats out on the water and the frenzy of the Sea Lions and Seagulls is always an exciting time of year so I hope that a solution can be reached.

Migrating Sea Lions taken at French Creek, I miss seeing them at Fanny Bay before the powers that be made it impossible to be there, so don't trust the brochures which still list them as a place where they congregate.
